Arsenal linked with several strikers that would help re-ignite the lost fuse.

It’s a well known fact that we’ve needed a striker for a long time, and I’ve got a feeling that Chamakh may not be the man we’re looking for. In that case, here’s 5 strikers who have been linked with the Arsenal recently:

1) David Villa has been linked with Arsenal for years. Cesc has said how if he had the money, he would target Villa specifically. How fantastic would it be to link two good friends who play together successfully in international football? Valencia are in a bad financial state, and look like they need to get rid of a few players to lower the wage budget and gain some revenue. Villa would be a great signing for Arsenal.

2) Edin Dzeko was majorly linked with Arsenal over the January transfer window, but Wenger said that due to the inflated January prices, Dzeko has become too expensive. Tall, strong and very influential of the game.

3) Gonzalo Higuain was a transfer target for Arsenal a while back, but looks like he has solidified his place in the Real Madrid team. Next.

4) Mario Balotelli – The young Italian has fallen out with Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan, and looks like he could be on the way out. Would be a great coup for Arsenal fans, very strong and dominant – could easily get 30 goals a season with the type of service he would get at the Arsenal.

5) Gervinho – Technically gifted, check. Young, good prospect, check. Ivorian, check. Speaks French, check. Only bad signs – not tall, not too strong, but still would be a very good buy.

Other strikers that Arsenal have been linked with in the past couple of weeks have included Lucas Podolski, Hugo Rodellega, Mauro Zarate, Andre-Pierre Gignac, Klass Jan Huntelaar. All of which would highly benefit the current Arsenal set-up.
